Air India aircraft AI-1943 carrying 219 Indian students stranded there on the third day of Russia’s attack on Ukraine landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai at 8 pm tonight. The plane took off from Bucharest, Romania in the afternoon. A special corridor has been made for them at the Mumbai airport. On the other hand, another Air India flight from Bucharest, Romania took off for New Delhi at 9.30 pm.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal welcomed the Indian students who arrived in Mumbai from Ukraine on their arrival in Mumbai. He said- ‘Welcome all of you to the motherland. Hundreds of Indian students, mostly girls, have come safely through the Ministry of External Affairs and Embassies. More kids will be back soon. This mission will continue till all the Indian citizens come back. He further said that Modi ji was very worried about all of you children. For two-and-a-half days, PM Modi and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar are worrying about all of you. Calling day and night. The PM also spoke to the Russian and Ukrainian Presidents.
